Harrogate Pythons 1st XV vs Yarnbury RFC

Saturday 6th December 2025 – KO 2:15pm

RFU Northern Division Counties 1 Yorkshire

Welcome to Yarnbury RFC’s players, supporters and Committee Members for the first meeting of our clubs in the 25/26 Season.   The last time our clubs played each other was in the 2022/23  season when both teams were in Yorkshire 2.  The Pythons managed wins home and away and hope to repeat that today.  Yarnbury gained promotion the last season with an impressive playing record.  In their last league fixtures Yarnbury beat Wensleydale at home The Pythons lost at Wath Upon Dearne.

Welcome to Sand Communications to our pre match lunch.  Simon Rodham has long been a playing member of The Pythons and a great sponsor.  Welcome too to our referee for today, Brian Brocksom

This is our third season in Counties 1.  Last season was better and the guys put up some great performances finishing 8th in the table.  Thanks to our great coaching team we’re applying the lessons learned and things are  beginning to come together.

With a bit of luck the weather holds fair and we’ll enjoy the game.  Best of luck to both sides.
