What a fabulous day for the club as the 4th annual fundraiser has broken all records by adding over £11,000 to club funds, so helping strengthen the fortunes of Harrogate based Yorkshire 1 club.

A record number of 26 teams took to the fairways and greens (but mainly searching for errant balls in the rough) at Oakdale Golf Club on Thursday 19th June and the beautiful sunny weather did not disappoint either.

Registration began with bacon butties and coffees from 11:00am and a shotgun start at 1:00pm saw golfers at all corners of the course begin their challenges with bat club and ball.

Despite the large field, all teams were safely back in the bar before 6:00pm for post-match debate followed by dinner, auction lots and prize giving that was once again expertly and hilariously hosted by compare and comedian Pete Emmett.

Importantly, the evening’s proceedings were opened by our Chairman Julian Tatlow who welcomed our guests, gave an update on Pythons last season and paid a very moving tribute to Eddie Kernoghan a much-loved Pythons Stalwart (and past halfway house helper) who sadly had lost his battle with MND.
