We are delighted to announce that Mike Ruthen has accepted our committee’s invitation to become our club’s President. This is a coopted role with Mike’s main duties being as a ‘figure head’ for club events. Mike is a long time Python and played for our club until few seasons ago. He’s also held committee roles and is well known for his stamina when drinking! Standards are something he is very keen on – he noticed some sloppy behaviour when fines were being consumed on Saturday stating, “Things need to be tightened up around here”.
I would like to thank our immediate Past President Paul Day for his years as President. A great servant to our club, we all wish him the very best for the future and look forward to hearing about his expertise in the front row – Both Sean Fitzpatrick and Jason Leonard were both impressed with his views!
